As I was at work yesterday my homey DTBS tipped me about a secret Skrillex show at Check Your Ponytail 2: 2 Year Anniversary show co-presented with Moheak Radio. It’s been a while since Skrillex performed because he was busy scoring Wreck-It Ralph so I was excited to catch him in action since the last time I saw him was last year at the Hyundai Regeneration party.
As usual I got there a bit late and caught the end of Cherie Lily‘s set. Digging the DIY paper hole punched confetti.
Diamond Rings took the stage next.
Icona Pop was next after. It was my second time shooting these girls and they only get better every time I see them live. Catch them if they’re in a town near you, it’ll be worth it.
Andrew W.K. took the stage next accompanied by Cherie Lily and Aleister X. He was definitely getting the party started…
Finally after a long intermission, Skrillex took the stage towards the end of the night. The stage got so packed that it was nearly impossible to move around.
